The Acclaim Group Investigations Unit
The Acclaim Group conducts both factual and optical surveillance investigations on a daily basis, in an attempt to confirm or refute an allegation or suspicion of fraud against the Client company. The primary functions of the Investigations Unit having received instruction are to:
- Investigate instances of suspect fraud or other criminal activity directed at our client's worker’s compensation scheme.
- Where appropriate, we assist with the prosecution in the criminal courts of persons who have committed such offences by adopting and providing evidence of findings.
- Investigate cases of suspected malingering, misrepresentation, claiming of excessive benefits or the making of false or misleading statements in relation to a claim for compensation or other benefit through the Client.
- Make detailed recommendations to the Client as appropriate on the disposal of cases investigated.
- Provide specialist advice to senior Client management on all aspects of an investigation.
Assist in the design and conduct of internal projects to identify and deal with incidents of fraud and non-compliance.
